CHOICES AND DECISIONS - Saturday, July 21
(Choose Right For A Glorious Life)
TO THE BIBLE Psalm 25:12 TLB
“Where is the man who fears the Lord? God will teach him how to choose the best.”
What should I wear?” “Which books should I buy?” “What course should I study?” These are questions you ask yourself before making your choices or decisions. The friends you keep, the clothes you wear, the way you talk—these are all products of your choices and decisions. In fact, everything you do is linked to your decisions, and you’re where you are today because of the choices and decisions you made yesterday.
Like many young people, you might find it challenging to make the right decisions at certain times. But the question is: what guides your decisions? Could it be your friends, the books you’ve read, or the movies you’ve seen? The best influencer of your decisions is God’s Word; it gives you the ability to make the right choices at all times, and sets you on the path of greatness and success. The world’s system may try to dictate the choices and decisions you should make, but refuse to be controlled by it. Remember that you’re not of this world (John 15:19). Stick by the principles of God’s Word and the guidance of His Spirit. This way, you’ll get to make the right decisions and be guided in God’s perfect will for your life.
The Bible says, “…do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God” (Romans 12:2). Whenever you have a choice or decision to make, don’t look to the world; get it right through God’s Word and by allowing the Holy Spirit lead you!
Heavenly Father, I yield daily to the leading of your Spirit and your Word. As I do so, my choices and decisions are in sync with your will, purpose and plan for my life in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
